Mile High Tree Farm, a family owned business, was established in 1990 on 60 acres of farm land in Ashe County, and has since expanded into Grayson County, VA. In the early 80s, Danny Sturgill, Sr. bought the land to start Christmas tree farming. The business has grown into what it is today because the family takes great care and pride in cultivating premium trees.
Jason Sturgill handles all the tagging and grading of the trees for sale himself. With over 20 years of experience, Jason knows how best to evaluate a tree for Mile High’s customers.
Brooke Sturgill, Jason’s wife, handles the business side of things and coordinates with wholesalers and retailers. She also attends most of the trade shows with Jason as they showcase the farm’s high quality trees all along the East Coast.
During the holiday season, the Sturgill family takes important steps for proper pruning and shearing to leave optimal branches for ornament hanging. Trees that are not sold will be sheared tightly with the tops cut down in order to promote fuller growth, which makes for a premium tree.

On-time delivery of a fresh, quality Christmas tree product. Our trees are harvested throughout the delivery season so that they are placed in our loading yard as they are to be shipped. One order is being cut while another order is being loaded for delivery.
A great selection of premium trees for you to choose from. With various heights and species available on our farm, we make it easy for you to get the variety you need for each of your customer’s unique tastes and preferences.
Affordable prices regardless of order size. We will ship as few as 50 trees to your retail location which is something larger growers tend to steer away from.
